About

My name is SueEllen Thomas, maiden name SueEllen Bennett.  I have four children and an amazing husband.  I love learning and have spent over 15 years of my life in education, certified in secondary sciences, and have earned a Masters Degree in Educational Administration.  I have achieved much in life and enjoy helping others accomplish goals as well.  I feel very blessed overall.

I am also a childhood survivor of  (as opposed to being labeled as a victim of) cancer, traumatic loss of immediate family members and friends, domestic violence, mental illness, suicide, bullying and other forms of loss and/or abandonment.  I have survived many things as an adult as well that have tied into these experiences, but these are the situations that my life began with.  I have spent alot of my energy in life learning to understand and manage my emotional, physical, social and spiritual well being without having the supports in place that many kids/younger people have had.  I am not perfect and never will be but overall, I now reflect back and think I have done an amazing job given the obstacles faced.

Although it is a really scary idea to create a blog about my experiences,  for many reasons, I feel that doing so may provide some “yet to be defined” positive outcome.  Thank God for the people in my life who have provided unconditional love and support over the years.  Thank God for the people who have looked through my imperfections and spent their energy trying to pull me out of unimaginable situations instead of sending me backwards.  Thank God for the people who chose not to take advantage of my circumstances as opposed to using them for some sort of personal gain.  Thank God for the people who have chosen to not define me by anything that has tied into past traumatic experiences.  There have definitely been way more angels in my life than not and I like to think they will be rewarded one day, far above my ability to repay them.
