There were also several non-clothing items that I found very helpful after my double mastectomy.

Lazy Boy Recliner: As someone who is VERY frugal, I will say that mine was purchased on CLEARANCE from a local furniture store! I think it was discounted because of the non-traditional burgundy color. Our living room is mostly neutral, so I added some decorative pillows to help it blend in. I wasn’t going to let the color stop me from getting a less expensive recliner! Since sleeping on my side wasn’t an option for me, the recliner became one of the most useful things I had for resting during my recovery. Because mine was an in-store clearance item, I don’t have a link to the exact recliner, but it’s worth checking local furniture stores, clearance sections, and even Marketplace.

Shower Stool: The shower stool I ordered was purposefully small because our shower is on the smaller side. The seat was soft, and I found the legs stable. Having somewhere to sit made showering easier for me during my recovery.

Drain Pockets for the shower: After my double mastectomy, I came home with four drains. I needed a way to keep them supported and out of the way while showering. The drain holder I found was soft, waterproof, adjustable and came in a pretty pale pink color too. I placed the top portion around my neck and put the drains into the pockets while washing up.

Post-surgery pillow: This pillow helped protect my surgical area while I was resting in the recliner, and I still use it sometimes today for positioning when resting. The one I purchased was soft and comfortable and had pockets where I could keep ice packs, my cell phone, or other small items within reach. It came in several nice colors. I ordered “Royal Plum,” although it looked more lavender to me, and I love the texture! My mother-in-law eventually purchased one too after finding that mine helped her with positioning while sleeping. There are also matching seatbelt covers available.
